Cancer development and progression is driven by transcriptional, cellular, and spatial changes. Identifying and understanding these changes is essential to better characterizing tumor pathology and developing potential therapeutics. Single-cell sequencing lets researchers screen the various different cell types in a tumor, and new technologies add spatial information to the mix, letting scientists accurately delineate the healthy and cancer cell populations within complex tumor tissues.
